What is Fanbank? Fanbank has created an exciting marketplace where big-name brands and local, independent businesses come together to engage consumers in a whole new way. The Fanbank marketplace creates a place for consumers to receive benefits and rewards while supporting locally-owned merchants. Through the Fanbank platform, independent Main Street Businesses take advantage of an array of reward programs and offers which help them generate consumer awareness, excitement and loyalty to drive sales. Consumers register to participate and are rewarded when they shop at Fanbank Merchants. Offers and rewards come in a variety of forms, driven by the Merchants’ business type and what the Merchant chooses to offer. Rewards may come in the form of a discount, gift with purchase, rebate, refunds, Fancoins or other forms as devised by Fanbank. The Fanbank platform serves as the facilitator between the Merchant and their participating consumers.
What is the benefit to local businesses? Local, independent businesses are looking for new ways to generate interest and excitement. Fanbank has created a platform for these businesses to partner with big-name brands to generate interest and offer programs to their customers and potential customers. The Fanbank platform provides the infrastructure for these independent businesses to market offers and rewards and fulfill redemption. With Fanbank, local businesses now have a platform to reward loyal customers as well as communicate to potential new customers.
What is the benefit to consumers? Consumers can shop, eat, and play at their favorite participating Main Street businesses and earn rewards at those Main Street businesses in a frictionless system.

Which main street businesses are participating? We research the top businesses in each neighborhood and personally invite owners to join Fanbank. The current list of Fanbank Businesses can be found at www.fanbank.com/merchant-list.php.
Why do I need to link a card to my Fanbank account? Fanbank leverages a new technology called "card linking" which allows Fanbank to access registered consumers transactions at Fanbank Merchants on top of the rails of the payment card network. Fanbank does not use punch cards or additional rewards trackers, but instead uses your existing credit or debit cards to track transactions and fulfill offers. If consumers do not register to link their card, Fanbank has no way to confirm their transactions at Fanbank Merchants and Fanbank is unable to fulfill rewards and offers to these consumers. Fanbank’s platform leverages technology that has been in place for decades – the credit card processing network. Fanbank is able to see registered participants’ transactions and Fanbank Merchants in reports provided by the payment card network in order to fulfill rewards and offers.
What if I do not link my credit card Fanbank will not be able to access your transactions at Fanbank Merchants and you will not be able to participate in offers provided by these Merchants.
What if my card is already part of a rewards program? There is no impact to any existing rewards programs or features associated with a consumer's credit or debit card. By registering your cards with Fanbank, you are simply allowing Fanbank to access your transactions made at Fanbank Merchants in order to fulfill the offer made by such Fanbank Merchants.
Can I recommend my favorite main street businesses to be included in Fanbank’s shop local program? If you would like to recommend a business to be contacted for inclusion in the Fanbank program, please send the Business Name, Address, Phone Number and Contact Person’s Name to email@example.com.
What is a Fancoin? Fancoins are one form of rewards that participating Merchants may offer. Fancoins are earned when shopping at card-linked Fanbank Merchants and can be used to make purchases in the Fanstore. The number of Fancoins earned for a purchase are determined by Merchants.
What is the technology behind Fanbank? Fanbank's operates a technology platform that integrates the card processing network into its own proprietary system. Fanbank has entered into a variety of agreements to use card-linking technology to access consumer transactions made at Fanbank Merchants. Both Fanbank Merchants and consumers affirmatively opt-in to these agreements at Fanbank operates a PCI compliant platform to integrate with the third-party payment processors. Fanbank has also built a sophisticated rules engine which allows Merchants to offer incentives registered consumers. Through the Fanbank proprietary platform, Fanbank is able to broadly access transaction data in order to match a registered consumer's purchase with a Fanbank Merchant, and fulfill the offer through a seamless transaction. This technology is part of what makes Fanbank different. There are no membership cards issued to consumers and no changes to a business's Point of Sale system.
Where can I see my offers from Fanbank merchants and track my purchases and rewards? Your Fanbank Fanboard tracks your registered card activity at Fanbank Merchants. You will receive offers from Fanbank Merchants via email or on your Fanboard. You can see if you have outstanding offers within the Fanboard. You can access your Fanboard by logging into your account at www.fanbank.com
When is my card active? When you successfully enroll your card with Fanbank, your card will be immediately be active in the system. You can make purchases at Fanbank businesses right away.
Can I opt out at any time? Yes, you can opt out at any time, there is no obligation. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there a cost to join the Fanbank program? No. There are no fees for joining or maintaining your participation in the Fanbank program.
When do I begin earning rewards? You begin earning Rewards or can redeem Offers once you register at least one card and use that card to make a purchase through the Fanbank platform or at a Fanbank Merchant. Rewards may take up to two (2) weeks to appear in your account.
How do I check my Fanbank account status? Log into www.fanbank.com using your credentials. Your account status and Fancoins balance will show at the top of the screen.
Does my participation or rewards expire? If you do not use your account for 12 months, your opt-in to card linking will terminate and you will need to reactivate your card linking. Each offer you redeem will have specific restrictions sand redemption requirement tied specifically to the offer. Be sure to refer to the specific offer rules when redeeming an offer.
Can my Fanbank participation be revoked? Your membership in the Fanbank Program can be revoked by Fanbank in its sole discretion at any time. Any abuse of the Program; failure to follow any of the Terms of Service; membership inactivity for more than twelve (12) months; misrepresentation; or conduct that may be detrimental to Fanbank or our interests may result in the revocation of your membership and make you ineligible for further participation in the Program. If, in Fanbank’s sole discretion, we suspect fraud, misrepresentation, abuse, or violation of these Terms, we also have the right to take appropriate legal action.
Can I terminate/cancel my Fanbank participation? We certainly hope you retain your Fanbank membership! If you find the need to cancel, there is no obligation or fee and you can cancel by contacting us at email@example.com. Your email must specify your name, address, phone number, and email address associated with your account, and confirm that you wish to be removed from the Program. It may take up to 7 business days for your cancellation to complete.
What happens to my rewards if I terminate / cancel my participation? If you cancel your participation, you forfeit any Fancoins you may have earned and/or any Rewards that might otherwise have been available to you during your continued participation in the Program. If you wish to return to the Program after cancelling your membership, you will be required to join the Program again starting with no Points or available Rewards.
How do I update my member account information? To update your Member account information, you must log in to your www.fanbank.com account. Once logged in, you can update your personal information on the Manage Profile and Manage Cards menu selections. From your Fanboard, you can update your information in the Profile Management and Card Management menu selections.
What if I forgot my password? If you have forgotten your password, go to the Log In page and click on the “Forgot Password” link. You will then be prompted to enter the email address associated with your www.fanbank.com account, and a temporary password will be emailed to that email address. Follow the prompts in the email to create a new password.
How will I know when businesses have been added to the participating businesses list? You can view the list of participating business at www.fanbank.com/merchant-list.php.
